Steven A. Ellenberg

Steve Ellenberg has practiced law in San Jose since 1991. During that time, Steve has litigated and tried a wide variety of matters ranging from trade secret misappropriation to elder abuse. Steve is equally adept representing plaintiffs and defendants. In 2012, Steve first represented a petitioner and then defendants in back to back elder abuse trials in Santa Clara County and obtained very favorable results for each client. Steve is also a skilled negotiator. He has successfully resolved multiple cases for clients prior to trial.

Steve Ellenberg has an AV preeminent rating from Marindale Hubbell and has been identified as one of Northern California’s “Super Lawyers” every year since 2006. In 2011, the San Jose Metro Newspaper named Steve as the “Best Litigator” in San Jose and called out his reputation for ethical conduct. Steve is a member of the Santa Clara County Bar Association and the American Bar Association.

Steve graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California, Berkeley in 1985. He earned his law degree from the Columbia University School of Law
in 1990.

Steve founded the Law Offices of Steven A. Ellenberg in 2008 and is pleased to welcome Gregory D. Hull to the firm now known as Ellenberg & Hull. Prior to opening his own firm, Steve was a partner with Ruby & Schofield.

Steve grew up in San Jose and remains deeply involved in the local community. He is a past president of the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley and is an active member of the San Jose Downtown Rotary Club. Steve and his wife Susan live in the Rose Garden neighborhood of San Jose with their three children.
